HUSH 🤫

He pulled her close,
And spoke in whispers,
In the silence of night.
He put a finger
Across his lips,
" Hushhh! It's a secret,
never breathe a word to anyone"
Her eyes popping with excitement,
She nodded,
Acknowledging his words.
A moon hardly passed,
than the wind blew
the letters, out of the hollow
Between her lips,
Into the waiting drums,
Of a couple dear,
She thinks, "it's safe"
They won't tell,
They are friends
"Hushhh! It's a secret!"
They put the lid on
And nodding, depart.
In a circle,
Amidst friends,
They divulge,
Let the letters flow,
forming words, then utterances.
Now the words,
Fill the air,
Pervade the atmosphere,
Barely any waiting drums,
Didn't catch a vibe of the utterances.
Now it's on every lip,
Spreading tales,
They never knew of,
Like actual witnesses,
Where of a truth,
The narrative has changed,
And what was no longer is,
What is never had been,
Creations of creative minds,
Which caught a vibe of pieces,
Of those utterances.

THAT PLACE.

I seek a place
I need a time
Where all noise abate
When all confusions dismiss
A place that seems
So far and distant
A time that means
No heartache nor tear.

I want a space
I ask a peace
Where all pain disappear
When all aches remove
A space to recline
Away from all troubles
A peace of mind
Where all become clear

As I pour it out
As I these thoughts record
With scrolls of ink
And strokes by me
That place of peace
I seem to find
Away from noise
So far from pain.

YESTERDAY.

A CRY.

Run!

FREE.

Haven’t you noticed
That I have a new outlook
A new stare
That pierces
Your wall of defence?

Haven’t you seen
That I am a little sprightly
Vivacious, unbothered
About your antics
Your fervor for attention?

Haven’t you realized
That your secrets are in the open?
That I am no longer captive
To your manipulations
Your endless push
And desire to see me
Become none other than yourself ?

I will no longer be intimidated
Cowed into silence by you
I stand with my head
Held high
Braving every storm
Every pebble thrown
Every jab aimed
By you in cahoot
With like minded slaves
Enslaving themselves
To their desire to belong
That passion to hold sway
I have been set free!

I KNOW.

He says I am unworthy                                  Undeserving of the very air I breathe          He says I am weak                                          Worthy only to be trampled upon                  He wants to be in control                      No matter the method                                    Control is the name of the game.                                                                                       She blames me                                              Even when she hurts me

She thinks she is popular

So others can go to blazes

She pushes me so against the wall

I am tempted to react

Turn her own game on her.

He lays down the rules

Even though he can not follow any

He wants my respect by force

Even though he concedes none

He thinks violence is cool

A way to maintain the power

He seized by same force.

She is without natural affection

Inflicting pain a routine

She is calculative

Manipulative, seemingly charismatic

Yet so inhuman

Never stopping to consider

The effect of her actions.

I no longer fear

Your constant attacks

I am free from your evil plots and plans

I am armed

With the truth

I know deep inside

You are filled with fear.

I know that deep inside

You suffer much more

Than those those you afflict

You put up appearances

Wear a cloak

Over your insecurities

Your self-doubt, your inadequacies.

I know you need help

Much more than I do

I know your are scared

Much more than I am

I know you feel frustrated

Annoyed with everyone and everything

Unable to maintain decorum.                                                                                                                                                                             So I will hold out                                               An olive branch

With the hope that you

Will change your ways

Be undeceived however

Because In will action

Whenever necessity calls for it.

A New Home.

A NEW HOME!

Mother sits, bemoaning

her current condition,

drowning in waste,

created by her children.

She keeps them,

from birds of prey,

which these days,

fly menacingly,

the next victim to devour.

They throw dirt at mother,

caring not how she fairs.

They know not,

that they too bear,

the burden

of their creation.

One of them turns,

A new leaf!

sees the hurt,

feels her pain

makes up his mind,

that no longer,

will his inventions,

make his procreator,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   This unhappy,

give her a fever,

An omen of imminent extinction!

Her water bodies,

filled with heady formulations,

refusing to decompose,

lie in mama's bosom

He picks the waste,

gets others to join in,

climbs the hills,

screams atop his voice,

Enough, enough!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Look over there!

mama's bloodshot eyes!

the fruits of her body,

no longer as good!

her limbs, running through the land,

no longer as visible!

filled with the very evil,

we create!

That monster we let,

roam her streets,

choke her to death!

We must clean our mess

make a message of it,

that all may hear,

see without a doubt.

Make them do same!

That mother earth,

again may breathe

make for us,

A new home!
