She stands transfixed;
A form
full of life
Yet speechless, motionless;
moving, Yet
doing the ordinary
Being a lot to a lot,
who never acknowledge,
Never seem to notice,
All her effort,
At making things,
the way they are.
At night, she returns home
Into the figure,
which stood frozen,
Awaiting recovery, discovery.
The cycle continues,
morn after morn
A never ending tale.
Weary with the wait,
the waste,
the waist no longer can wear.
One night she comes back,
To find the contraption,
Missing from her usual space.
Wandering, searching,
for her ally, her partner
The only one, in whom
she feels at home.
Someone tugs at her sleeve,
Out of a corner, from behind a door
Hidden away from wandering eyes
She turns and finds herself,
Looking straight into her own eyes!
Her trapped twin,
for the first time says,
'no longer will I wait for you,
this waist no longer can bear,
the pain of standing at that spot,
daily awaiting your return.
If you today, will return
to my bosom,
then a promise you must make,
and that promise, you must keep...'
She muses, not knowing what to say,
The form continues:
'...to carry me wherever you go,
for I am sick, tired
Of carrying you.
to stay away from those who keep you,
stop you, from coming home,
to be me;
In your thoughts, deed and speech.
For truly, I am you
And you are me!
No longer will I stay silent,
but speak up through you!
For only in me are you home,
Only in me are you really you!
Only together can we find lost islands,
Discover hidden treasures;
Climb the highest mountains,
Walk the driest of deserts,
Ford the longest rivers;
alight at port DISCOVERY,
enter the city DESTINY,
lay on the bed FULFILMENT!
Finally with joy, she leaps into her.
That night,
She took a trip,
never to return.
for on this sojourn,
Dreams become REAL
Images receive LIFE
The CITY,
gets closer and closer!
She took a trip...
never to return!
